Welcome

Welcome to the United Hebrew online community. We are pleased that you are visiting our website to learn about United Hebrew and how we can assist you.

The long term care system can be confusing and stressful, especially when a loved one is not well. For 90 years, United Hebrew has been caring for people in need, and in that tradition, we hope that our website is helpful to you.

As a longtime member of the United Hebrew family, I am continually amazed and impressed by my colleagues and the qualities they possess. Many people ask what makes United Hebrew special.  I can only say that it is in the simple acts of kindness and caring that set us apart.  I see it everyday...in a smile, a warm hug, a moment taken to listen to a story...these often seem quite small, but very significant to the individual in our care.

We are committed to a resident-centered philosophy where people are treated with dignity and respect. We remain focused on our shared vision of creating a livable community where all generations benefit from our unique services - whether it’s our intergenerational Gerontechnology Program in which students teach our residents basic computer skills; our strong volunteer program staffed by baby-boomers; local high school students doing community service; or a working parent utilizing our on-site child day care center. All generations can enjoy a meaningful and purposeful life at United Hebrew.

United Hebrew's next generation of long term care has become a reality, as the new Lucile and Joseph Skalet Pavilion has opened. Our new state-of-the-art center has the very best in design and features including private rooms, wireless internet family rooms, horticultural centers, and country kitchens in each of our “neighborhoods.” We are Building for Every Generation – for now and tomorrow.

I encourage you to call us with any questions. Rest assured, we will be there for you every step of the way.
